Nellore: There is a part-time jeweler. He has neither his own shop, or access to sophisticated instrumentation. Yet, he sculpts microstructures in gold, like the Taj Mahal, with precision and passion. Musaveer, 45, who works in jewelry stores on street Korada Nellore, began carving tiny things with the aim of making the Guinness Book.
Musaveer is the sole breadwinner for his family of six, that responsibility fell on his shoulders after the death of his father Abdul Rahiman, a bicycle mechanic in 1980. Musaveer concentrated on micro-structures, while earning enough to feed the family.
Wishing to victory in India in the last World Cup, he made a tiny replica of the World Cup with 0.030 mg of gold. This was his first piece of art.
He then made eight World Cups, with 0.220 mg of gold and display at City Hall on the occasion of India winning the coveted trophy. To the surprise of everyone, Musaveer is a working miniature bike with 1.340 mg of gold.
He even disassembled the bike by mid-piece and refitted in just 60 seconds during a demonstration at the Press Club recently.
Musaveer also its miniature gold credit of polar satellite launch vehicle (PSLV) C-17 (1.840 mg), the Mecca Mosque (0.130 mg), an idol of Ganesh (0.160 mg), the world (0.110 mg ), a church (0.300 mg), statue of St. Mary (0.200 mg), Jesus on the cross (0.090 mg) and the map of India (0.160 mg). Recently he wrote the national anthem in gold letters with 1.300 mg.
